Zidane dreams of PSG

Zinedine Zidane

After winning La Liga twice and winning three Champions League titles, Zinedine Zidane chose to leave Real Madrid this summer, and since then he has been without a coaching assignment. Zidane has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjær, who is said to be hanging loose at Manchester United, but according to information, the former playmaker isn’t interested in that assignment.

Now comes information that the 49-year-old has instead set his sights on taking over another big club in European top football. According to Foot Mercato, Zinedine Zidane dreams of coaching Paris Saint-Germain in the future.

In previous interviews, Zidane has said that he has taken a sabbatical year, but according to the information, “Zizou” would be open to take over PSG if given the opportunity. The French big club is currently being coached by former Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino, who has endured criticism during the start of the season.

Pogba is holding his decision about contract extension

Pogba

Manchester United star Paul Pogba, 28, is on an expiring contract that expires on the last day of June next year. Manchester United are said to want to extend with the player, but the parties have not yet reached an agreement on that.

Now the transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano states that it is Pogba who is behind the fact that there has not yet been a contract extension. According to the journalist, it is Pogba who is delaying in making a decision about his future.

Pogba has previously been linked with clubs such as Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

He returned to United in the summer of 2016 after a four-year stint at Juventus. Before that, he belonged to Manchester United’s academy for three years, but without getting the chance in the club’s A-team for real.

Pogba is listed this autumn for seven assists in eleven games with Manchester United.

Los Blancos is falling behind in the chase for Haaland

Erling Braut Haaland, 21, is hot on the market after scoring 70 goals and 19 assists in 69 games in the Dortmund shirt. Previously, several big clubs have been rumored to be in the fight to tie up the Norwegian next summer.

One of the clubs interested in Haaland is Real Madrid. Now, however, Spanish AS states that “Los Blancos” has slipped behind in the fight for the 21-year-old. Instead, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are said to be more eager to sign the attacking star.

According to reports, Real Madrid want to recruit PSG star Kylian Mbappé, a signing that would make it difficult to also recruit Erling Haaland to the club.

Is Icardi heading back to Italy or going for a new challenge in the Premier League?

French media recently reported that PSG striker Mauro Icardi, 28, has parted ways with his wife and agent Wanda Nara. Personal problems were said to be the reason why Icardi was over two training sessions before tonight’s Champions League match against RB Leipzig, but he is part of the match squad.

Now the Italian Gazzetta dello Sport states that the Argentine, with a past in Inter, is relevant for Juventus, Milan and Tottenham. Icardi has varied playing time since Lionel Messi’s arrival at PSG, but has still started five and jumped into four more league matches.

The 28-year-old is listed for three goals this season and has a contract with PSG until the summer of 2024.

Milan have found their replacement for Kessie

Milan midfielder Franck Kessie is attracting interest from other clubs. PSG, Liverpool and Manchester United are all said to be interested in Kessie, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, he can leave already in January.

Now Calciomercato writes that Milan have found their replacement, if Kessie leaves. It’s about Marseillie’s 21-year-old Frenchman Boubacar Kamara. The Italian big club is said to have followed Kamara for several years, and that they will try to recruit him in 2022.

His contract with Marseille extends until next summer, and Milan therefore sees him as a reasonable replacement for Kessie. Kamara has made nine appearances for France’s U21 national team and was promoted to Marseillie’s A team in 2017.
