Newcastle recently changed owners and are looking to bring in a new head coach to replace Steve Bruce. According to the English newspapers The Guardian and The Times, Newcastle hope to present Villarreal coach Unai Emery as the new head coach this week.
Now Emery confirms that there is interest from Newcastle.
- I have become aware of their interest and I have not said no, but there is still no offer, the coach says according to Goal.com.
Emery has been in charge of Villarreal since last year and has led the club to a Europa League title. He has previously coached Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Sevilla, Spartak Moscow, Valencia and Almeria.
