The German giant shows interest in Tieleman

Youri Tielemans, 24, has had great success in the Leicester jersey in recent seasons and has previously been linked with a move to the big clubs in the Premier League. Now comes information that indicates that another major European club has joined the fight to link up with the Belgian’s services.

According to Calciomercato, Bayern Munich are now showing interest in recruiting the 24-year-old. Something that is not strange, says Brandon Rodgers. When the Leicester coach was recently asked about Tielemans, he was full of admiration for the talent.He develops and does very well. He joined us in January 2019 and has developed into a top midfielder in Europe, says Rodgers according to the Daily Mirror and continues:

“He will only get better. He is incredibly professional, one of the best I have worked with. His attitude to train is at the highest level. He develops and that is what you want to see young players do.”

Leicester are now said to be trying to extend Youri Tieleman’s contract, which expires in the summer of 2023. The 24-year-old has played a total of 122 matches in the PL club and has been noted for 20 goals and 22 assists.

Koeman sacked, Xavi expected to take over

Following Wednesday’s defeat at Rayo Vallecano, Barcelona terminated Ronald Koeman as head coach, and Goal can confirm that the position has now been offered to club legend Xavi.

Barcelona now sits in ninth place in the Liga rankings, having won only four of their first ten games.This season, the Blaugrana have also struggled in the Champions League, leading to Koeman’s dismissal after just over a season in charge.

On Thursday, the club announced that Sergi Barjuan will serve as interim coach, but Xavi is anticipated to be appointed soon.

Martinez on the verge of a new contract

Argentine Lautaro Martinez formed a dreaded attacking pair with Romelu Lukaku when Inter won the Serie A title this spring.

This season, Lautaro has got a new partner in the form of Edin Dzeko and together the duo have scored twelve league goals in the first ten league rounds. Lautaro’s progress led to interest from several big clubs, including Tottenham and Atlético Madrid, but now the credible transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the forward has signed a new contract with Inter that will be presented in the next few days.

The new contract extends until June 2026 and the previous buyout clause of 111 million euro will be removed, according to Romano.

Arsenal interested in Denis Zakaria

Denis Zakaria, 24, played the entire match when Borussia Mönchengladbach defeated Bayern Munich 5-0 in the German Cup on Wednesday night. The Gladbach midfielder’s contract with the club expires next summer and now German Bild reports that Arsenal have Zakaria on their wish list.

The London club can try with a bid already in the January window, but if it turns out to be too difficult, Arsenal want to sign a pre-contract with Zakaria which is valid from 1 July.

The Swiss national team player came to Mönchengladbach from Young Boys in the summer of 2017 and has scored eleven goals in 136 appearances since then.

Daily Mirror: United gives up on Pogba

Paul Pogba has not yet signed an extension with Manchester United. His current contract expires next summer, and he can thus negotiate with clubs already this winter.

Now United are said to give up on the midfielder, according to the Daily Mirror. They have realized that Pogba will not extend. There will mainly be interest from PSG, Real Madrid and Juventus, but none of them are said to have plans to place a bid in January.

This means that, if everything turns out as it is now reported, the Frenchman will leave the club as a free agent next summer. Pogba joined United in 2016. Prior to that, he played for Juventus.

Newcastle eying one of Germanys greatest talents

Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, 18, is ranked as one of the greatest talents in Germany. The 18-year-old has impressed during the start of this season with six goals and six assists in eleven games, which has attracted interest from several big clubs around Europe.

Now the German newspaper Bild states that Newcastle is following the German midfielder. The English club has just got a new owner who can possibly strengthen significantly in January to save the club in the Premier League.

Wirtz currently has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen until the summer of 2026.

Bayern München is looking at Oshimen

Napoli’s attacking star Victor Osimhen, 22, joined last year from Lille and has scored goals in Italy during the start of this season. The Nigerian has so far scored nine goals and an assist in eleven appearances this season.

Now Calciomercato states that Bayern Munich is keeping an eye on the 22-year-old striker. However, Napoli is said not to want to sell for less than 100 million euros, just over one billion kronor. Osimhen currently has a contract with Napoli until the summer of 2025.

United linked with trio

Ole Gunnar Solskjær is under heavy pressure and is rumored to get the sack from Manchester United. At the same time as the management is considering a change of coach, the club has identified three potential signings.

Spanish Fichajes reports that United want to strengthen the squad for next year with winger Federico Chiesa, midfielder Nicolo Barella and right-back Kieran Trippier.

Both Chiesa and Barella are valued players in their current clubs, Juventus and Inter, respectively, and are likely to be difficult signings to take in port. However, Kieran Trippier is said to be willing to leave Atletico Madrid for a return to the Premier League.

Milan have agreed on a deal with Torino for Belotti

Torino coach Ivan Juric recently confirmed that the club’s attacking star and Italian national team player Andrea Belotti, 27, has decided not to extend his expiring contract. Juric said Belotti will not leave in January, but that there may be a transfer to a new club at the end of the agreement next summer.

Now the Italian newspaper Tuttosport states that Milan has verbally agreed with Belotti on a common future. Torino is said to either sell the striker in January for five million euros, just over 50 million kronor or the player will leave Milan for free in the summer of 2022.

Belotti has played in Torino since the summer of 2015 and is this season listed for a goal in four matches in Serie A. In total, he has scored 99 goals and 26 assists in 252 matches in the Italian top league. He was also part of Italy’s national team which won European Championship gold this summer and has scored twelve goals in 39 A-international matches.

Barcelona are dreaming of Klopp

Barcelona are looking for a replacement for Ronald Koeman, who is said to be hanging loose as coach of the club. Roberto Martinez and club legend Xavi Hernández have previously been mentioned as potential replacements for the Dutchman, but now there are reports that Barça have identified a dream coach.

It is Spanish Sport who writes that Koeman’s contract, which expires after the season, will not be extended. Barça president Joan Laporta’s big dream is now said to be to recruit Jürgen Klopp for next season.

According to reports, Barcelona are investigating the possibility of bringing in the Liverpool coach this summer. However, Klopp has a contract with Liverpool that extends over the 2024 season, and will not be open to leaving the Merseyside club at the moment.
