“Bidding war” expected to break out for the talents signature

It has previously been written that clubs such as Newcastle as well as the giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have been in contact with Porto winger Luis Diaz’s representatives. Now another team is said to have entered the race for the 24-year-old.

It is Goal who, with reference to the Italian Gazzetta dello Sport, writes that Chelsea have inquired about the status of the Colombian’s future. The site further writes that a “bidding war” is expected to break out next year, 2022.

Luis Diaz, whose contract with the Portuguese club extends until the end of June 2024, has this season scored a goal in three matches in the Champions League and four hits in five appearances in the league.

Says no to contract extension with Leicester, opens up for leaving

Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans, 24, was crucial in the clubs FA Cup title this spring and has been rumored to several big clubs in recent months. In September, the Belgian opened up for a move.

I’m open to everything. The transfer window has just closed, but I want to keep the doors open, Tielemans told Sky Sports.

The British 90min now reports that Tielemans has nobbed Leicester’s latest offer for a new contract and that he is considering his alternatives. Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich are all said to be showing interest in the midfielder.

Barcelona are also said to want to sign the 24-year-old, but the club’s finances make it “almost impossible” to complete a signing, according to Barcelona newspaper Mundo Deportivo. Tielemans is valued at approximately €55 million, according to MD.

Tieleman’s current contract with Leicester expires in 2023.

Chelsea could call back talent from Norwich

Chelsea talent Billy Gilmour, 20, was loaned out to rival Norwich ahead of this season and is so far listed for six matches, four of which are in the Premier League this season. The loan agreement actually extends until the summer of 2022, but possibly the player can be called back earlier than that.

The English newspaper Daily Express now states that Gilmour can return to Chelsea early if he does not get more playing time in the future. During the last three league matches, he has remained on Norwich’s bench. Norwich coach Daniel Farke also commented on the subject recently, saying:

There is no pressure (to play with Gilmour). We are not here to develop players for other clubs. We are here to score points for this club, Farke said according to Goal.com.

Gilmour has a contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2023. He joined the club’s academy from Rangers’ equivalent in the summer of 2017. He has not yet had the chance for real in Chelsea’s A-team.

Another Chelsea defender could seal a move after “disrespectful” proposal from the club

German national defender Antonio Rüdiger has spent four years at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea. During that time he has been involved in winning the Champions League, the European Super Cup, the Europa League and an FA Cup. But now the defender is on an expiring contract and so far the contract negotiations have not gone as planned.

According to the German website Sport1, Rüdiger has recently received a contract proposal from Chelsea. But it was not good enough according to the site, the German even thought that the contract proposal was disrespectful.

Sport1 does not write what the contract proposal was, however, but they write that Rüdiger wants around 160,000 pounds a week. Today he earns 105,000 pounds a week.

Barcelona interested in Chelsea-duo

Barcelona continues the search for suitable recruits. The requirement currently seems to be players who are free agents, as the club has major financial problems. Already this summer, they found players that they did not have to pay a transfer fee to secure, in the form of Eric Garcia, Memphis Depay and Sergio Aguero.

Next summer, the plan is to try to recruit Chelsea duo Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta, writes the Daily Mail. Both players are on contracts that expire after the current season.

However, it is not certain that it all goes Barça’s way. The two players have been important in Thomas Tuchel’s team building, and extensions with the English club are far from impossible, the newspaper states.

Azpilicueta is currently wearing the team captain’s armband and Christensen can be assumed to be even more important for Chelsea if teammate Antonio Rüdiger disappears, where he is rumored to be at Real Madrid.
