Arsenal looking to add another talented Norwegian in the push back to Champions League

Arsenal signed Norwegian midfielder Martin Ƙdegaard from Real Madrid this summer and are now reportedly interested in recruiting another Norwegian national team player – Southampton winger Mohamed Elyounoussi, 27.

The English newspaper Daily Mirror writes that Arsenal have set their sights on the 27-year-old, who is also said to have attracted interest from Leicester City. At present, however, he has a contract with Southampton until the summer of 2023.

Elyounoussi came to Southampton from Basel in the summer of 2018, but was on loan to Celtic between the summer of 2019 and the spring of 2021. This season he is listed for four goals and two assists in seven appearances with Southampton.
